Hey all,

I have recently completed a side project and I am looking for my next! Instead of starting a new project on my own, I was hoping to join a small team to make something great. I would also be open to finding someone to start a new project from scratch if we had a solid idea and the resources (art) to make it happen.

What I'm Looking For

  • Small to medium scoped projects. I want to have a complete game done in 6 months if possible!
  • Small-sh team, probably no more than 6
  • A team with at least 1 artist and 1 other programmer
  • Game developed in either Unity or Unreal
  • I want to work on the content of the game - stuff like combat, mechanics, items, encounters, etc.
  • Preferably, my role on the team is designer
  • If the game is multiplayer, I prefer not to work on the networking or hosting side

What I Offer

  • 3-5 hours/week of development
  • Professional Unity experience (it's my day job)
  • Working knowledge in most of the widely used programming languages and patterns
  • Google Play Services and Publishing experience
  • Mobile development experience

You can find more about me in my woefully outdated portfolio.

Cheers all, hope to hear from some of you soon :)

Yeah? The title says hobby so I don't expect to work a ton on it but I don't expect to make money off it either. If the team's goal was to sell the game, then I'd ask for my fair share but I don't want to be for hire :)

hi! im a composer and I'm looking for projects to work on for free ! i have experience in a range of different genres and contexts - I can send you over some of my previous professional work if you're interested? my discord is rubydoodie#5068 if you want to chat there?

ps. your portfolio is very impressive ! :D

Hey thanks! I'm not looking to form a whole team myself ( I would only start one with an artist if we had a good idea), I'd rather join one! Good luck :)

We can chat, I've added you.

Hello. I just started learning game development but I would like to help out if you still have room.

Hey there, glad you're on the dev learning journey! I'm happy to answer questions but I'm not truly looking to form a team but instead be a part of one. Cheers :)

Hi! I just started learning game development for an upcoming project of mine. I'm planning to work on both art an programming. Not as skilled programming as I am in artwork, but I'm hoping to learn a lot from working on my project. Only plan to have a small team of around 5-6 people at most since I don't want to be too ambitious.  Would be great to have your help!

Artist/animator here if you want to do something small from scratch!

Heya, do you only do pixel art?

Hi! hand drawn stuff also, no 3D stuff though I'm afraid.

we’re looking for a programmer to help us finish our team based combat racing game in Unreal. The project will likely take more than 6 months but should be done this year. Here’s some footage from a couple months ago. Feel free to message me if you’d like to connect!

Thanks,

James
