For what it's worth, it was a cute toy to play with. Couldn't figure out how to make the handbrake not creak like it did but everything else got fixed.

Also, I find the way you used the theme really amusing. Dad-joke level humor.

thank you!

While I can appreciate the art and some of the audio design, I feel like we forgot a bit that this was supposed to be a game. This feels more like just fixing a broken bike once, or a singular experience. Also I'm having trouble finding the part where the theme plays into the game. I'm not saying it's bad per se but it just feels a bit...short? Since theres only so much to do and a single time.

Developer

Yep it's just a little toy I did in 3h, mainly to experiment with drag and drop mechanics in Godot engine. It's short but hey, it's the Trijam after all :)

The theme is a pun between "Cycle is broken" and "Bicycle", the bicycle is broken.

That's fair, I suppose that is the main purpose of jams - to experiment with new thing and mechanics. Though that should probably be kept for the longer jams and for the smaller ones like this its probably better to try to make a game? Still though, neat job.

Thank you!

Nice idea. I like the sound effects, they sound very bike-y. I think it would be nice if you could give a little indication as to which part of the wheel/brake etc you can use the oil can on but otherwise it's a cute experience.

This was a nice little experience, very stratifying to spin the wheels when clean haha!
