As a big fan of Animal Crossing, I thought it was really cool seeing someone take that concept and bring in some horror. Though it was definitely creepy it was still very cute. Well done, dev!
Very spooky, though there really wasn’t much buildup to the actual horror. More hints like Bob being dead in the corner of the map would’ve helped.
Though I will say, the player character making eye contact with that face did throw me for a loop, so good job on that, though the ending kinda lasted too long.

so far, I can tell, it's Friday the 13th.
pie lady made pies for the HARVEST FESTIVAL. she ultimately burned herself and became a head as part of a pie due to the HARVEST FESTIVAL being on Friday the 13th
Shiny stones keeper was supposed to keep the stones we give her but, unluckily, since its FRIDAY THE 13th, she had put them inside her belly instead, drowning herself.
AMANTIA MUSCARIA is a type of fungus known as "fly agaric". they would be eaten by the green cat and he would probably just enjoy being floaty, but due to Friday the 13th, he would just fly up into the air forever.
the bridge rebuilder would repair the bridge, but he would also help make a nice bonfire, where they would all talk about stories, eat some pie, and enjoy some time together, but due to the HARVEST FESTIVAL being on Friday the 13th, he would end up becoming one with the fire, and would die in the fire cut up head showing.
for the player? The player would (if it weren't Friday the 13th for the HARVEST FESTIVAL) would have a good time with the others around the fire and such. due to it being Friday the 13th, the player cat would do as it does in-game, and would cause the game to crash, but in the end, the person outside of the game would end up getting trapped in the darkness of an abyss where it's waiting until another person boots up the old, abandoned cartridge and plays it. repeating the cycle until someone else finds the truth and ends up getting rid of the game once and for all. UNTIL though... the company who created the game steps up and returns the game back and the game becomes haunted again. but no more than ONE CARTRIDGE can be haunted... right...? ... right......??? ......
Great short game for the submission though! keep small bit in touch, bitte! "We may need a restoration of our old HARVEST FESTIVAL 64. Seems customers for our other games aren't the best."
I really hope you continue this outside of the Ludum Dare, it's definitely something refreshing in the horror scene, takes me back to the old cursed games.
While the horror element wasnt up to my taste because there is no real tension to build up to the festival, the gameplay and design is done really well, good job!

I saw this game and had to give it a go . I loved it . The controls needed a little work but it had the creepy feel to it.
