During battles with more than one enemy, I find it weird that using the item mind's eye activates immediately without any input for me to choose. While it does reveal the health of all enemies, it only shows the information of one enemy--usually the one that I don't need info on. During the one of the boss encounters in chapter 5 (the one that summons 4 other enemies), I use the item, but it keeps showing the info on the summoned enemy rather than the boss. As a person who likes learning weaknesses through the mind's eye, this quirk of the item is annoying to play around.

While I appreciate the implementation of the mouse in this game, there is an issue when the mouse controls are combined with keyboard controls. I primarily play this game using keyboard controls, but during multi-enemy battles, I was unable to choose targets when using single-target attacks. For the longest time, I couldn't figure it out until I moved my mouse off of an enemy. I found that the mouse has the highest priority when targeting, so whenever the mouse is on one enemy, I cannot use the keyboard to change targets. This is really annoying that I wish there is a toggle to switch off mouse controls, at least during combat.

On a side note, I do like the escalation of the difficulty by having more battles with multiple enemies present, but I wish there were more of them throughout the game in other chapters. The first multi-enemy fight was near the tail-end of chapter 2, and aside from side-contracts, this type of encounter doesn't reappear often in the main story. I find fighting single-enemy encounters rather tiresome, especially when I had to clear out a gauntlet of them during the first part of chapter 5. I am not suggesting removing some encounters from the game but adding in more enemies for some of them. I think it would improve the gameplay experience when the player has to occasionally fight 2-4 enemies for an encounter.

I did run into the bug with the Mind’s Eye item during my testing, but it cane pretty late and I personally found it a better trade off to see the remaining health of all enemies than to see the weaknesses of a single enemy in the fight. Thats no excuse of course. As the dev, Im aware of the weaknesses so seeing the health bar is far more useful to me. I’ll see if I can get it to work properly, but I can’t guarantee that it will get resolved by the public release on the 29th.

Thanks for the feedback with the mouse controls. I usually test with just keyboard or controller, so I completely missed this. I don’t know of a solution to your issue as I think thats a problem inherent to rpg maker itself. Unless I can find a plugin that resolves this, it will unfortunately remain in.

I planned my game around most fights being one on ones, but there will be a few more fights in the upcoming update that include multiple combatants.
