Okay I love the stick figures. Super fun game with really interesting controls. It took me a while to get them but you have a whole tutorial section where I could practice. I saw you listed future plans for this game and you should totally continue work on it!!!

Developer

Thank you, I will continue the game, I want it for at least 50 random parts

Very nice work on this game, the art style and animation is very interesting. I noticed that when I was playing through the web player that I could fall off the first ledge and continue the level. I could continue playing but no other platforms spawned. Overall excellent work!

Developer

Thanks, I'll fix the bug later, the other platforms only appear when you pass the previous one, and as you were under the game, the game couldn't identify that you passed

This was a cool runner type game. I liked the animations very much, and the movement controls felt natural, if not a skill based movement you had to get used. I liked the procedural parts that would keep spawning in, making each run unpredictable, that was really engaging. Great job!

Thanks

One of the most butt-clenching games I've played so far! :D At first it felt unfair, but then I got the hang of it. I like how you placed pickups at hard-but-not-impossible-to-reach places. It would've been better if they had a white outline or something else to make them easier to see, though.

The tutorial section is very well-made (not allowing the player to pass through until they used the necessary skills), although when I die, there should be both a [RESTART] button and a [RESTART FROM BEGINNING] one so that I could skip it on my retries. However, I understand that it's quite a bit of work to implement this.

The music is dark and tragic-sounding, which is exactly what I would expect in a game about someone running from their inner demons à la The Onion's Nike video (but not funny) or Siamés's "The Wolf" (but more hopeless).

I think sometimes it failed to register that I wanted to dash, but maybe I had already accidentally made a 0-length dash or something, I'm not sure.

Since platforming is key here, it will be better if the player's vertical speed is divided when they release the Jump key after a jump (but not after a dash). That way, it should become less frustrating when I jump too high and then realize I should have landed lower.

Thanks, I'll use a white outline in the next update, I'll make it so that when you die you don't have to do the initial part, but the jumping part I still don't know, then I'll see if I can do it(I don't know if it will be in the next version, but I'll try to put it as fast as I can learn)

The game's atmosphere is neat, and the gameplay works well with the given limitation, alongside with the theme.

Very cool concept, we did something similar haha and I love what you did with it, great minds think alike :D I love the dash animation and control!

Developer

Thanks, I'll play your later, too, I haven't had time to see the other jam games yet

Very aesthetic graphics paired with some amazing controls. I really enjoyed the art and presentation, although the game seems to be lacking in terms of gameplay. Nonetheless, quite enjoyable.
