Eight days to death, is how I read this one. I like how the results of things are open for interpretation.

I understand the need to separate rounds into two phases, but with the world bathed in eternal night, would it have been "better" to just have an option of the two things: 1) you can Travel and just lose Heat and Light or 2) you can attempt to Pillage or just Scavenge based on the die roll, but no travelling. That way the chances of rolling 1 while scavenging increases as the Pilgrims dilly-dally in the same spot.

Which brings me to ask this: what is the  "evens or odds"? Is this the total number of resources provided? Like if only one person provides resources, then it's Heat? If so, that's a nicely strategic way of rationing resources amongst the players.

Very interesting!

Thank you for your feedback. I deliberately kept that open ended and am thrilled to see the imagination there. I think its a good, even grimmer take. I agree that getting rid of the concept of day and night is a total no brainer and would have layered on what I was going for. Sorry the even/odd thing isn't clear, its an attempt to add more value to the dice roll by narrowing what resource can be used to boost the roll, and maybe steer the description by defining the threat.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Iwill try to reciprocate your comments but reading through yours looks like a beast that must be playtested to appreciate!

Thanks for the clarification.

Haha! I appreciate your appraisal of my pittance offering. It's really just simple subjective judging of other people's rhyming skills. Mostly for entertainment and not at all serious like yours and others' have been.
