beat the game, can't wait untill its released on steam, very good game

I love this demo! Everything feels really good, from the mining to the way the aliens smash against the slowly-cracking glass. It felt tense the whole time, even near the end when I had a lot of upgrades.

(+1)

still here keep working hard

(+1)

Played thru, it's awesome! Love the art and design!

wheres can i access the full version?

(+1)

this is an amazing game

one small glitch, when u reach the end, if u dig left or right, u just fall into the abyss

I completed the game and it's awesome! works well on Linux (5.10.109-1-MANJARO). Maybe just add the ability to turn down the volume of the lasers would be good.

I 100% agree. For this demo, the sound of the double-lasers over-power all other sounds. I'm looking forward to the upgraded release. :)

Hi, i download the win version, but when i launch it the game window is hidden on the bottom. AltGr+Entr doesn't work to make it fullscreen, how i can solve this problem to try your game?

My mouse doesn't want to appear too.

use f11

I FINALLY BEAT IT!!!! I was waiting for different creatures than just the two. I'm looking forward to seeing their attacks.

(+1)

congrats :)

More creatures will follow in the proper dome keeper demo.

The Carry More line of upgrades doesn't reset on game over.

That was a great experience, it kind of made me mad starting off, but after i got the hang of it it was pretty fun, im ready to see how this game is developed!

fun :)

this is good i love this game

Good game! The art style and the music gave me an immersive atmosphere, playing alone in the middle of the night. It has a lonely vibe that matches the setting.
The enemy timer got a little predictable... Maybe an alert could work better? Like: you won't know when they're coming, but when they do, you'll have a time limit to reach the dome.

Hey bippinbits is it okay that i could make an enemy for your game? if it's okay with you.

(1 edit) (+1)

I keep forgetting to come back to the surface smh

I absolutely love the game though.

(1 edit) (+1)

I feel like that's an analogy for real life. Like, i sometimes forget to stop gaming and go to bed, and suddenly it's one hour later - too late!

true true :^

Plz controller support pleeeeeeeeeeease

how do you save the game?

how can i upgrade? 😅

You go to the computer on the right. It gives you the option to battle or to upgrade.

oh ok thanks

(+1)

I haven't had the chance to test the game yet, but from what I've seen the game is amazing, dev do you intend to release an Android version someday?

Mobile release is not planned yet, but we don't rule it out either. PC comes first.

(+1)

HOW IS THIS FREE

Im sad because there is no controller support

The current demo on steam has controller support. It will eventually also reach itch, just not yet.

(+2)

Just did my best run yet of the game! Happy I did it on v23.11!

Brutal difficulty 100% across the board! I CANT STOP PLAYING THIS!

(+1)

hi dev just came here to say i love the game i’ve been playing it tons! <3

Thank you <3

(1 edit)

Hey devs! has anyone have had any issues with the steam version of this game? I cant get past the title screen because it keeps crashing.  Says the godot engine is not responding. Its worked fine for me up until a week ago

Oh that's bad! Are you using windows, linux or mac?
There is not an obvious change that could cause the crash. But it sounds like this should be something introduced with v23.8 or later.

Hi dev just asking how much its gone take to put controller support for like duelshock because i want to play the game on an ios phone love your game

Not that much work, but i don't have the time right now :(

(+1)

My GPU doesn't support this. What do I do?
I already tried updating them but it says they already ar

I fear there is no way out of this. What GPU do you have? If it's something old or like an "integrated chipset", this is expected and it probably can't run.

(+2)

i understand why you focused on steam for the new demo instead of also putting it on itch.io, but is there any chance of releasing the full game on itch.io or gog once you’re ready to do a full release?

Yes, i very much hope so! It is mostly down to workload, as it's only me doing the programming and platform support, so we are a bit limited what we can do in parallel. But i love itch, and want to bring the full Dome to it too. Did the same for our first game, making it even a bit cheaper (but only a month or so after the Steam release, because of the workload prohibitting doing it in parallel).

(+1)

that is 100% fair, of course you have to manage your time and energy. burnt out game devs are sad news, and i don’t want that. :) just knowing you intend to eventually do more here is all i was hoping for with my question.

Try and hire some new and better programmers to help with the progress and development of the game. Also, I would suggest that you release the full version of dome Romantik on steam first, because more people have access to steam and because it will become popular and possibly make it to the front page of the steam store, which therefore means that people will see it and want to play it, therefore more popularity = more ad revenue for steam (main Dome Romantik launcher) to better make Dome Romantik a favourite free game to play.

P.S.

try and focus on getting some money to hire or seek help from some other game devs, so then you don't burn out everyday trying to get this done because people are peer-pressuring you. Just take a break and chill out with your family and friends. Here's a little tip though, maybe go onto reddit and try finding some game developer groups and asking if they want to help you with this already extremely successful game.

Just to say. I LOVE this game

(+2)

Amazing game, very clever mechanics and addictive gameplay, chapeau!

(1 edit) (+1)

I am absolutely in love with this game. It is one of the most addicting games I have ever played and I am drooling for the full release. I have made two Youtube videos! One is my first gameplay experience, and the other is my attempt at Brutal difficulty after learning the nuances of the game.  The video I am posting here is my brutal mode gameplay.  Thanks alot for allowing us to chomp at this game! I HEART DOME ROMANTIK

(+1)

I’ve seen a people like wanderbots play this game and it looks great so far! Do you have any plans to put it on consoles like Xbox or PlayStation?

Hopefully yes, after the PC release, if it goes well :)

(+1)

I like the game a lot, I saw it on reddit. I hope it's goes bigger sometime. I wouls like if there was a clear sound that indicate when you get attacked, a broken glass sound or something. I would also like a clearer way to know how to use the upgrade. I would really like to be able to build a faster pickaxe. Consider I have just played 30 min so far.

Thank you for the feedback :)
You should be able to buy a drill upgrade at the little computer. Enter it by hitting space when near it. There is also a newer Demo up on Steam, which has a bit more things and plays better.

(+1)

Thank! I will check it too

(+1)

This gme is so cute! I wish it wasclear how to pick up the items, I don't always consistently do so which is frustrating.

(+1)

Hm, there should be a little tutorial popup explaining that you have to hold space to pick up resources. I think i might need to trigger that tutorial multiple times, as it can be accidentally dismissed.

maybe try including the mouse cursor into the game, so that you can click on the resources to pick them  up and drop them down, like left click to pick up and right click to put down. That's something that I would love and I think others would too.

hm, sounds reasonable! I'll think about it.

(+1)

Such an awesome game,  my little cousin begs me to play this every time he comes over.  He says he wishes it was on the switch

Aww, that's great :)
I hope we can port it to switch too! Would probably be the first port, the switch is great and Dome fits there, i think.

+1 for this on Switch !!!

(+1)

do you update itch version as well?

Not for now. I like that there is also the option to play basically the old jam version :)

Same, I appreciate the jam version exists and stays up. You could consider a separate itch page for the "modern" version if desired. Obviously easier for an indie team to focus on one shop at a time, though. So if Steam is your path and it's working, sticking with that makes sense. Great continued work!

(+1)

This game is extremely fun, although it definitely feels like it's missing something, not sure what though

There is a new version on Steam right now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1637320/Dome_Romantik/

Maybe it has what's missing now?

(+1)

I love this game, very good. Thank you for making it.

(+2)

It was surprisingly fun, and I honestly didn't expect to spend so much time on this!
