It took me a while to replicate the issues, but I did eventually and they will be fixed in an upcoming update. Thanks so much for the feedback, these kinds of things really help make the game better
Ran into several more script errors. I attempted to combine the tablet and brushes before completing the investigation (it was the only pair of items that combined at the time). I rolled back, then found all the clues first and was able to combine them without issue.
