Great entry. I really like your take on the task and approach to telling the story.
That first big leap of faith, when I just had to hope there was something below ... whew! Such a good feeling to land and continue the story. I really liked that and hoped for more sorts of surprises.
The story is great, not sure how much is your take vs the original, but very compelling either way.
I wish you could actually fall into the abyss though, and then maybe just reset to the previous platform. I mistimed a jump and then realized it didn't matter because of the invisible walls. I was a lot less invested in my movement after discovering that.
A small thing, but it would have been great to have a finish line. Like if you had removed the "i" from "him" here so that way I could slot the player character into where he belonged as a piece of the story, that would have felt like a satisfying ending.
Overall, great submission. I enjoyed this one a lot.
