It will also contain visuals, but it will largely be conveyed through writing; visuals are only there to present data to the player. It by no means follows a Visual Novel format. I hope that this will be accepted.
Hello! Judging by how you're describing it, it sounds like it'd fit within the parameters of the game jam. The program which you use is never a limitation, and we've stated in the rules that a few images are also okay. All in all if you're certain you're not stepping into visual novel territory then it's probably alright
