Smaller stuff that doesn't affect the game files such as those details should be ok to change!

There isn't a rule per se since the jams were simply created with different goals in mind: one casual and the other competitive. If you really wish to submit your work to both then we won't stop you, but if your intention was to compete then maybe the ranked jam would be best :)

Hello! Judging by how you're describing it, it sounds like it'd fit within the parameters of the game jam. The program which you use is never a limitation, and we've stated in the rules that a few images are also okay. All in all if you're certain you're not stepping into visual novel territory then it's probably alright

Hi! We must admit that the mods aren't really acquainted with the method, but we want to make it clear that the whole premise of the jam is rather vague in order to allow people to use whatever methods they'd like to try. The only requirement is that the final result is text-based and interactive!
