I'm gonna need an exact number of your game version.
You'd know if you made a backup copy of the folder.
If the file path looks like this Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods then you're in a correct place.
If it looks different then it's either a backup copy you've made, or possibly you're working with a cloud copy (iCloud/OneDrive/Google Drive) instead of a local folder on your PC, and not actually making any changes, which is a common mistake.
I know that I’m putting it in the right folder though. I have made sure multiple times. even one time I tried taking a piece of required files out, and when i went in game, it said i have a missing script mod. so that means my game is recognizing that i’m trying to install a new mod but i didn’t do it right. when i make sure all the right files are in the right places, it still doesn’t want to work, idk what is going on and why this is happening
