This was an interesting puzzle game, as it requires you to calculate where the giants are in proportion to the steps that they're going to take, and work out how you're going to move everything around in order to best stay alive. As another comment said, your hands do sort of get tied depending on the number you roll and where the giants are, but it isn't to the point where it stops you from playing. I really liked the voice acting work, also, and the UI had this really gorgeous, vaguely future/cyberpunky aesthetic that I enjoyed. I would say that because there aren't many lines for the characters, it got a bit repetitive at times, but given that getting voice work/acting done and incorporated into a game is hard enough as it is within such a short timeframe, I understand why there wasn't more variety.
Nice work!

I am really happy with your accurate post thank you

You pointed out our strong and weak points in a very accurate way . Glad you like it

Fun game, nice UI and assets, feels well polished. Only one problem is I feel like the game sometimes puts you in impossible situations, like if all the giants are less than 3 steps away and you get a number 3+ then I don't think there's anything you can do (unless I missed something). You can kind of plan for that, but you still need to get a little lucky with the numbers in the last level. I did beat all three levels however after a few attempts, so it wasn't a game breaking problem.  Good work overall.

Developer

thank you very much for your honest feedback

Well regarding luck having interference with winning or losing the game is something not accurate, the numbers aren't randomly generated they are randomly displayed but they are generated in away that player should never get stuck if he used the numbers right ,each level has specific set of numbers forcing the player to figure out the correct code to solve it , it's a puzzle game no luck involved trust me on that

well done, awesome game and I see you are a man of anime culture as well(my mind was like titans run away lol).

great game, loved it

Haha thank you, yes we got our inspiration for the game concept from AOT S1E8 the warehouse scene

Great game! Interesting concept, I guess it's one time use because we're using old muskets, I see the attack on titan inspirations from this from giants to being surrounded and needing a timed coordinated attack when they're perfectly in range.

The others have already mentioned that it's hard to calculate the range of the giants, it's not a huge problem, but the last level, I think, or at least the third level doesn't seem possible to win, the giants are never close enough to become highlighted and even a step closer they will destroy the building they on and lose.

On another note, when the quick time event occurs, it's much quicker to just spam random keys and watch them all fall down really quickly, it's really satisfying, but it's probably not intended? Well, most people would probably carefully press the right one, but it doesn't seem like there's consequences for pressing the wrong keys.

Great job on the game! The UI, music and voice overs are good and a nice touch, though a few more voicelines wouldn't hurt to make it less repetitive.

I am very happy with your detailed comment and review
"it's one-time use because we're using old muskets" that's one of the theme's using, the major one is the player has only one shot to kill all the giants in ONE finishing blow.

" I see the attack on titan inspirations" actually you are absolutely right, we got the game concept inspiration from the warehouse scene in ep8 S1 we found a "one-shot" scene and I immediately got the game idea and started gamifing it.

"it's hard to calculate the range of the giants" you are right and i have fixed that already and so much more in the polished version

and the third level was messing a number fixing in the code and everything is fine now

-"the quick time event occurs it's much quicker to just spam random keys " i have just read your comment and changed it so pressing the wrong key will result to lose

-the UI and music and sound effects everything was made by us (except for the 3D Assets) I am glad you like what we made

Interesting idea!

The menu and UI were super pretty, and the gameplay was pretty unique and works well for a jam game. Agree with the other commenter that not being able to really tell how far a Giant was going to move made it difficult, particularly when it came to making good strategic decisions. I think with a change to that (even by just making obviously visible tiles on the floor) could make it really fun!

Either way, great job, and I love all the voice overs. You guys did a great job with those, and made a unique and fun game this jam. Well done!

Developer

wow, thank you very much Shane I am so happy you liked the game.

regarding the floor tiles, it's done now and the polished version will be uploaded in no time

I thought this was an interesting use of the theme and one of the more original game loops in the Jam. I liked the two phases of action and enjoyed playing it.

The game has a good concept but is a little frustrating to play. The thing I found most hard was to remember the correct distance of the orcs. A week of polish would make this a solid game ;)

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing and the he and giving us feedback

The thing you talked a out is now fixed and the game is so much more polished now and we will upload the new version in no time
