sorry to hear that! Can you post a screenshot of what you see? Did you play on itch.io or go through the hellochar.com URL?
managed to fix it, apparently my chrome continued to block cookies even when I told it to allow them all, I had to manually enable all of them.
also I love it. I really like the music
