I think I reached the end (went into the little copse of trees to the right and used the wolf on the baddie). At that point I couldn't figure out what to do, but overall this is a great submission with charm all over it.

Thanks for your feedback :). You can proceed from where Bobbes eats the Hurrof -- as a small hint, remember that the wolf can leap across bodies of water ;). After that it's a bit of a puzzle to get Alvin to the other side.
Since I've gotten two comments so far from people who couldn't figure out how to proceed, I suppose I'll put more effort next time into allowances and dialogue to nudge the players in the right direction, I didn't mean for this to be part of the challenge of the game ;p.

Edit: oh, and the game has a distinct ending, so you'll know when you beat it :).
