Post any bugs or typos you've found from v.0.16 here!

Please try to be as informative and detailed as possible with your report!

After i equip armor on after winning the fight with the beastslayer, it doesn't let me do anything else, unless I'm missing something? I've equipped every bit of armor I have and nothing seems to push me forward.

I had a game-breaking bug while being interrogated by the Beastslayer. I opened up the inventory (for no particular reason) and started clicking on my items. The problem is that after clicking return, the game thinks I'm in a merchant conversation, and "return" is interpreted as "buy". It's a conversation I can't exit out of because the only button to close the window is considered a dialog option.

Developer

That's strange...not exactly sure what would cause that. What day did this occur on?

(1 edit)

It was Aris day 4 - right after Zhokar showed off his "fighing gear".

I managed to pinpoint the issue:

1. On Aris Day 4, skip to being tied up in the Warehouse, and have Zhokar's dialog on the screen

2. Open Supplies menu

3.  Click the Repair Hammer (this causes a choice menu to show up "behind" the inventory screen so you can't really see anything)

4. Click Return and click through the merchant dialogue

5. Click Return again

Clicking Return causes merchant dialogue to trigger that "you don't have enough ouros for that". After pressing it again, it is again interpreted as clicking a Hydronetics Scroll at a merchant, so it starts dialogue of whether to buy it (the choices appear behing the inventory screen so you can't tell what to click). It's not possible to exit the "Buy Hydronetics scroll? -> Oh sorry you can't afford that" loop, so you have to Alf+F4 the game and reload a save to continue.

This is the best reproduction of the bug I could come up with.

Developer

...Wow. Alright, so this all stems from the repair hammer then. I'll have it be disabled in the next build for now, since there's not really an area to use it in yet. This bug should be thoroughly squashed once the upcoming code revamp is implemented. Thanks for the thorough report!

- End of Day 6 (Aris): Mac seems to be sitting the worng way(facing right) in the tavern despite talking to Killigan (left)

- Beginning of Day 7 (Aris): Right after Killigan joins Mac at the table, his sprite is mostly out of view

Developer

This was likely a result of skipping through text (manually or with the skip button), it seems to be working fine on my end when progressing through at a normal speed. A workaround is to just rollback to before Mac appears on-screen and let his animation play out.

Hello! When waking up after escaping Redroot, when choosing equipment, I tried going just nude. The prompt that I can't do that jumped out, but when it returned me back to the equipment menu, the option to equip belts dissapeared. Had to reload an autosave prior to doing that cause I couldn't continue.

Another thing, and this might sound petty, I noticed Mac's sister sometimes turns around in scenes, but around her vertical axis, so she switches her missing arm.

Developer

This should be fixed in the upcoming backend overhaul, which will be implemented in an update later this summer.

Nothing I can do about that second issue, unfortunately. Making more assets for that sort of situation would take up a substantial amount of development time and add on to  the game's filesize, it's better in the long run to just vertically flip her sprites for that situation.
