Are you using Firefox or Chrome? Typically you would go to Options > Settings or Privacy and Settings, and then look for a button or similar that says Clear Data

the problem with that is it would clear all of my data across all websites on the entire internet

Ctrl F5 first for hard refresh.

If the bug still continues, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other Site Data. Go to see all cookies and site data and then delete the specific cache that is under the itch.io site only. Then Ctrl F5 and check again
