I'll start this off by saying I haven't played Sea Of Thieves but I think I have a pretty good sense after playing this N64 tribute. You guys nailed it! I got major Wind Waker vibes from the models & environments and everything just looks & feels like it's so lovingly done. Amazing work! One lil issue I had when running around on Skeleton Island that I'd like to report (unless y'all already know this): the wave ambience / sfx seemed to completely cut out after I'd explored the island for a solid 15 mins or so. I'm happy to say this was the only tiny issue I ran into though!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.  I definitely recommend playing the real Sea of Thieves, especially if you have a group of friends. And yeah, I noticed the issue when one of my friends started playing it.  I forgot to check the "looping" box on the audio settings. Thanks for the feedback though! :)

I'm planning on it! Your game has def piqued my interest :) And I'm glad that audio thing was a quick fix, phew!!

There are minor flaws, but I can see them, because  I also work in Unreal

All in all, very worthy!

Great job!

Developer

Thanks! It was my first time using unreal so there were many things I wasn't sure how to do/fix.

Wow.  This is insanely good.  Did you do modeling and everything or no?

Developer

Thanks, Im glad you liked it!  I modeled/animated/textured the skeleton, boat, chests and skulls. Everything else was created by my teammate, Angel.

that is insane.  Unbelievable work.

nice. Really gets across the N64-vibe!

Developer

Thank you! Was hoping we didn't go over board (pun intended)

Well that's a real game right there! Feels like a Rare Ware game from the N64 era too, so amazing work there! The Wind Waker-like water looks amazing and it hurts me to say that this game probably looks TOO good to run on the N64. I had a blast still!

Developer

haha thanks. I did get a little too carried away with the visuals. It was made in unreal and it was a lot harder to make a game look old than I thought it would be.  I'm glad you liked it :)

Great job guys. You absolutely nailed the look but I have a small problem with coins they stick like a sore thumb.

Developer

Thanks, and I agree. The coins visuals where a last minute thing. Also glad you found the one of the secrets :D
