Very fun!

Awesome game! Was really creative! :D

It's fun but failing actually stops my progress as there is less squares to move onto. I guess you were going for, when you die, you know that's not the way so you can try again. I did like the animations for dying though.

Developer(+2)

Yup. Dying is part of how of figure out what isn't the correct color in the color pattern, especially necessary on the later levels.

nice game but i think it was a bit off-topic

Developer

Really? Dying/Failing is a big part of figuring out what isn't the correct color in the color pattern, it is especially necessary on the later levels. So, failure is necessary to progress.

Awesome game! The little guy with different animations of death were really creative and funny! I really enjoyed playing it. I was reading through the comments and I saw that someone else got stuck as I thought I did too. But I didn't realize that if you enter a square from a different side, the square doesn't have to be a trap. So that might be the solution! But overall I really like what you've done here, nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, if you step on a square that is out of color order, but part of the "guaranteed" solution path, you'll die but won't leave anything behind so you aren't blocked from returning there when it is in order.

Enjoyed this one, animations were great and loved the concept and how it fits with the topic. I did end up getting stuck on the fifth level just no way to progress to the star's. Perhaps I missed something or if the level's are random I just got unlucky with the set up. Either way great job!

Developer

Thanks!

I wish I could have seen what that level looked like. The levels are randomly generated, but I thought I had designed in enough safe-guards to prevent progression block. Looks like I missed something.

Nice, I liked the different death animations and the trail that shows where you had been, I think I got softlocked around level six, but it seems that its procedural anyway.

Nice game! A nice simple idea that fits with the theme pretty well. I wanted to ask are the levels random or hand-made? I was trying to work it out the whole time I was playing.

You've got some very cute animations in here as well, I like them!

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Thanks! The levels are all procedural: I tweaked a maze generation algorithm to ensure there is at least one viable path to the goal, the rest of the room is randomly generated with flags used to create special squares at certain times (in order to control the difficulty ramp up).

Nice one, thanks for satiating my curiosity!

That's really neat, awesome stuff!
