I like the mechanic, it seems to be inspired by The Dreadful Whispers, by Blackthornprod. I really like how they were implemented, and it is really fun to try and find the path controlling both characters with the same controls. If fleshed out and polished, it could be a neat little puzzle game! Great job!

I actually did not play Noa's Whispers but checked trailer now - indeed his (much cutier) characters remind my Yin and Yang here)
