It was pretty fun, but the ally AI just meant that more often than not they were shooting me instead of the enemies!
Thanks for playing. The allies are actually shooting in the same direction as the player and the allies' bullets will not collide with the player. I do admit there needs a lot more tuning on the behavior of the allies.
