Hey everyone. I'm really excited, this is my first game jam! I'm especially looking forward to meeting new peeps and sharing the highs and lows of an intense session of game dev.

I was reading that the average game jammer is a 30 something indie game dev and computer science graduate, so I fit that mold. I was a JET in Gunma prefecture for five awesome years. Hopefully the was doesn't insta-disqualify me. I spent a lot of my free time on JET learning Japanese and game design, which has gone a long way to helping me get many of the freelancing jobs I've had since leaving JET just over a year ago. Very little of that work has been in programming games, so I'm looking forward to coding and putting something playable out there.

I'm on Twitter.

Hopefully you'll have fun! I've done a few Jams before but this is my first time doing more of the hosting/helping. I'm very much not the typical jammer mould though (Arts/Fine Arts grad with Japanese and Photography majors). Although I've always learned something completely new to me each jam I did. (I learned enough ruby do some tinkering with RPG maker's battle system for one Jam, and enough python to make a VN with ren'py).

And don't worry! While it's vaguely intended primarily for jets, it's really for anyone in Japan and too much time in summer!

I'm excited to play what you make though!

Excellent.

I've been looking into JokerScript for Unity, which is for building VNs too. I need to check out ren'py though. Also, Twine is a great tool for laying out a VN, IMHO. Is your VN live on the web? I'd love to check it out.

My old website is gone now. It's not very good though. But I enjoyed making it quite a bit.

Hi everyone! Current JET in Hachinohe, Aomori. My first game Jam where I'm actually the one making the bulk of the game (have done some before in an audio/design capacity). I'm also using a program I've never used before, so I'm planning to adapt the work I did in the tutorials I've done into the game for the jam! Good luck everyone
