Hi ehm its not really a free version this as I cannot use it in commercial games .. Just confirming this thats all.
I just found a sneaky text file in the folder saying that I can only use this for independent projects.. JUST making sure so I dont use it in any commercial thing by accident.

Hi Bollehopp,
The free version can only be used in private projects, indeed.
Its license is both mentioned in the Free version page (linked above in the features) and in the text file named "READ ME" that you can find as soon as you open the .zip
I don't find the free license info to be sneaky at all, I'm sorry.

Well not sneaky like sneak up on you thing but FREE to me means free xD Thats sneaky. I am just a new user to itch io I would just explain it that it would be Free for private use instead to clarify that is all. Was not having a go at you but I do understand the need to sell to make money but please clarify license that is all.

It's free by definition; that you can download it for free. All assets that you can download for free - from any site - have different licenses. This one's license is that you can use it for personal projects. For most users, this is great, because most users will never reach the commercial point.

It's not sneaky at all. The fact that you can get such high quality sprites, that are a matching set, in a massive quantity, and that only cost $1.20 is incredible. The added benefit of being able to use a small amount of the sprites before purchasing is a unnecessary and a very generous thing that the creator decided to do. Most paid asset packs do not allow you to have some of the sprites for free before purchasing.

This pack could have easily been priced out of range for most users. I could see it being priced at $25, $50, or even more. They could have broken up all of these sets and charged $5 or $10 each, making the set $100 or $200. It's obvious that the last thing this creator was trying to do was try to trick people for profit or gain.

YES I find them very very good too! I just only reacted at the wording of it and to me well xD I am just nitpicky thats all, I cannot be convinced that someone is trying to sell me a red ball and claim its dark blue for example.. SO just based on that I wouldnt buy that ball. This is just a rough example but you get the picture sort of?
VERY VERY NICE tileset I am just very new to the itch.io platform and I havent seen free used in this use before that is all ..
I had to follow this person who had made them too. VERY fantastic work.

Dude you have it listed as being under a creative commons license.  If that isn't the license you're using, it's pretty sneaky to misrepresent the assets as being under it.  (It's possibly also a violation of the 'creative commons' trademark.)

Ah, that was the old license, I forgot to change it back then! Btw, that wasn’t the topic :)

Just so you know, a CC-BY license is irrevocable.

You are right, there's a "LICENSE" file when you download the stuff, the old zips still have the CC-BY, and I will never revoke it, don't worry.
