I'm glad you like the art style! The game is indeed probably too long for a jam like this, so I'll keep it in mind for future jams of this nature. The dark part of the forest is supposed to show that something is wrong there, though I may try to reorganize the placements of the trees and such so it's easier to navigate through without being too confusing.
