Nice game!
I agree that the instructions were a little confusing, but fortunately I've played board games with this mechanic before, so it wasn't hard to follow. I liked the graphics, I found the combat mechanic interesting. I wish there were more attack types available, or maybe a defense action. I think that'd make choosing die to keep more interesting, but that's the limitation of jam games :)

A player after my own heart! I love board games (in fact the mechanics of game are based on a physical dicegame I made)
Unfortunately as always with jam games we run out time. For example the Critical Strike was supposed to have a stun effect.
In any case we aren't giving up on the game mechanics.
In fact a game with improved version of the mechanics is being made for this week Weekly Game Jam.
