Still there oddly enough

Are you running antivirus software? If so, try to turn it off and unpack the zip file again. Do it in that order, too.

I just released v1.0.2 of the game. This update may fix your problem. Please try it out and let me know if it works. Thanks for your patience!

Hello, i'm someone with the exact same issue as this guy. I've updated the game to 1.02, and i've also made sure to unpack the game AFTER having turn window defender off ( the only anti-virus i use. ), but the game still give an infinite loading screen and a blank page when going into the options.

I use windows 10 64bit, if that help for anything.

Hmm... this is frustrating. I'm working on it right now. Thanks for commenting!

There should be a new download available for this game called SaveFileBugTest. Can you please download this and try to run the game and let me know if the issue doesn't happen in that version of the game? Also: please don't play that version for real in case it does work, it can crash.

If it doesnt work: do you see a red error at the bottom left of the screen? If so: what does it say?

When testing the options menu it gave this in red text : DIINotFoundException: sqlite3

Edit: Same when pressing play unfortunately

The problem still remain, but a red text does appear, it says "DllNotFoundException: sqlite3"

Thats a really really good clue. Thank you. I will look into it abit more.

Can you try to do this:

Copy the file SaveFileBugTest\Captivity_Data\Plugins\x86_64\sqlite3.dll to the folder SaveFileBugTest (the folder where Captivity.exe is located). Make sure to copy it, not cut it. Try to run the game and see what happens.

Same error message as prior with both options and play

Edit: Thank you for all you are doing btw

Fuck dangit. Gonna look into it a bit more. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you open that link and download and install the x64 vc_redist.x64.exe file, and install it. It's possible that the sqlite3.dll file this game uses requires this package. Can you please try to run the game again after install is complete? Thank you for sticking with me.

It still says the same error message on the test version, and the "v1.02 version" still doesn't work either.

If that's any clue : i've very recently changed computer, like it's 3-4 days old literaly, so it could be related to something basic that is not installed yet that didn't cross my mind, like the file you've just given.

Edit : Also, don't worry much, the fact that you are replying and trying to fix this instantly is really nice.

The files didn't help, but there's a log file with the error that neither of us have posted, would a dump of that be of any assistance?
