Any particular reason you set this in Yamagata? I went to 南校 (in the 90s, no less!), so color me curious.
Oh wow, that's so cool!! I didn't have a particular reason, I was just looking for an under-represented prefecture of Japan. One of the things I want to do in the sequel is make the setting more Yamagata-focused. Though I did use Yamagata as reference for things like the outdoor scenes, it doesn't really feel like you're in Yamagata specifically, as those are sort of generic areas. I'd like to include various landmarks, like Yamagata station, Nanukomachi street, things like that. :)
