Hi killer7,

Hope you've been well !!!

I've an issue and am hoping that you could help me solve it.. I've been facing this problem ever since my phone got the latest Android update. First of all I'm no more able to find the saved files i.e. internal storage/ Android/ Data and then nothing, there are no folders at all of all my apps. And none of my folders are hidden.

Moreover, I already had 0.13 installed and now that I am unable to get the saved files from the above mentioned path I'm afraid to uninstall it, and now when I'm trying to install 0.14, it isn't installing the new update.

Can you please help me out with this dilemma.

Does anybody know how to solve my problem.... Please !!!!

Hm, I think your best bet is just to delete the app and try to install 0.14 that way...

Your savegames should be in Android/Data/RenPy/MyNewFamily-somenumbers OR in Android/Data/my.n.family/. If these folders are not there they are probably gone :/.

I think it has got to do something with the latest Android update... And you are right, I can't see these folders but all my apps are working... I just didn't wanna delete the app because MNF has got so much story content that it'll take me around three hours to get to the latest version even if I put it on Auto and increase the auto speed to it's fullest.... ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”.... Sooner or later everyone who has got an android phone will face this issue.... So be careful everyone until we have gotten a solution for this.....

That's not entirely correct though because I'm also using the latest android update and don't have this issue.

You can also enable "Skip unseen text" in the options and just skip all the text until you reach the part where you left off last time. This shouldn't take longer than 5 or 10 minutes.

My advise is to ALWAYS delete the old version you have before trying to install a new version. Your savegames should always be secured like that because they are stored outside the game folder. As soon as you try to install a new version while the old version is still installed you might corrupt these savefiles.

Thank you very much Killer7, can you tell me which app are you using to see your system files... And i think this particular case might be only related to google phones.... Anyways, thanks again for the help....

I'm using the samsung "Personal files" browser. I think it was integrated in my phone.

I had the exact same thing when the last android update came. Persistent save files did not work anymore and the files of the game where no where to be found. Still cant find them so i'm nervous for the next update.

As long as you don't try to install a new version while you still have a old version installed this shouldn't happen. I still have a savegame from april on my phone and I always delete the app before I install a new update.

Killer7, which Android version are you currently using???

Android 10
