Had a lot of fun with this. It would be nice if the scrolls speed for looking up and down was a faster by like at least 2x though. Looking forward to following progress.

Oh yeah, about the paper, it was my mistake (forgot to add a component so the script that picks up the items would check for it, not find it, and stop there). I fixed that too, so if you still feel like it, give the game another try.

Sorry for the inconvenience (this is what I get for adding things last minute and not testing them throughly).

I liked the feel of the game sounds were good to.

on another note i couldn't take the paper after 3 resets without things in my inventory or with things in my inventory also http://imgur.com/a/A87Rh

I agree with nurikabe's feelings about how it reminds you of some older fps, but feels fresh at the same time. Some stuff that needs work in my opinion.
  • Side walking without moving the camera could work very well (Think about Wolfenstein)
  • Sometimes you can kill zombies without having your mouse over them
  • Lamp besides the bed can be shot, it makes the breaking noise, but it doesn't break.
  • Light of that same lamp goes throught the wall sometimes and the bookcase on the other side lights up.
  • Is easy to clic outside of the game if you play on windowed mode. Mouse should be restricted inside the game until you pause it.
  • Couldn't take the paper from the bookcase either.
Very short but fun demo. It has a lot of potential.

@nurikabe

Thanks a bunch for the feedback, a lot of stuff I didn't notice. I did however notice that you could shoot through walls and that the zombies would go through doors, but I noticed it when there wasn't enough time left to fix it. I will do it now and update the demo though.

I like how it has a really nostalgic feel but manages to avoid feeling like a clone of any of the old horror games.

Because I have a bunch of technical notes I dropped them in a pastebin http://pastebin.com/w8hmgh85
