Hey, there was some confusion on what the crossroads was. It was at the very end. Since the players were teleported onto the road, it was a crossroad as they could go either way, even though it was only a road.

Hello, I played your game! But to be fair... I don't really know what to say about it after playing. But I'm going to make an effort and come up with a review. So what can be said about it?
The Heist of Cardell Castle is a very simple RPG which have the originality to make us play as a group of thieves. We play as Gil the Bard, Stephen the (Thief) Fighter and Ehly the Sorcerer. These classes make me strangely think of Dungeons & Dragons, is there inspiration from there?
Anyway, let's get over the points that poses me problem.
- Why Stephen's class is the "Thief Fighter" as all of them as thieves? It sounds redundant.
- I see some people encountered a softlock with your game. I was lucky enough to not encounter it myself, but make sure this kind of thing does not happen. For example, in the case of the statue, you could have regroup the party before causing the statue to move. Or check if one of the followers won't be on the way of the statue and prevent the player to activate it explaining the path must be cleared.
- You might want to double check your descriptions.
- Also, I didn't understood what being "Careful" meant. When there is a mechanic like that, don't let your players in the dark, explain it right away. It's a way to ensure your game is fair.
- I would have enjoy your boss battles require a bit more strategy to go through.
Other than that, I have nothing much more to say. The mapping isn't stellar, but it's serviceable. I think this is your average RPG game with a bit more polish can make for a better experience.

It's a fantasy Ocean's 11! I had a good time with this game. It's not too long or too challenging. While I might have appreciated a little more challenge, hey, it's a game jam game, and at least it wasn't too hard or long! Here are my thoughts from my playthrough:
- I appreciate the save prompts.
- The text tells the story without being too exposition-heavy. Good job!
- Game froze when I accessed the secret passage under the mage. Thank goodness for the save prompts & autosave!
- Battles are rather easy. It's a game jam game, so not a *big* deal, but it would be nice to have a little more substance.
- If you plan on continuing the game, consider letting us play out the final choice. I know this is just a game jam game, but it would be cool to see the actual events!
- Another polishing point: modify the options menu so it only displays relevant options and options that make sense for this game. There are a lot of options to help customize the experience (not a bad thing), but there are some options, such as encounter rate, that aren't necessary, and the sound effects options are pretty random.
I enjoyed playing through your game and the action. There were a few bugs I think one skill was suppose to reduce defence and not attack since the state icon suggested that's the state it was going to reduce, for Stephen. Then for Ehly her water spray skill says it attacks all enemies but it only targets one. I enjoyed your plot structure and how it played out, the mood was fun and funny and that was great. I liked how you put some personality into pub at the beginning with the different NPC's. I like the short puzzle in the cave as well. I think you created a good short quest / adventure game here. I did like the writing as well, and I thought the characters had personality to me. I think it can expand into something really good too. As feedback you could maybe make it bigger if you think that's something you may want to do. Good luck though with what you choose to do next! : )
