I like the core game play loop of "do simple task while being chased". It would have been interesting to have 3 unique tasks instead of pump each generator, maybe like finding an item in one corner and bringing it to another. The vibes and story elements are well done, but feel a bit disjointed from the game play. Next time I think you should take your core loop and then just do a lot of experiments with how you can put a twist on it, get the player into the action right away, and then find a way to sprinkle some story in if you want.
