This is the first game reviewed so far that I can't help but give full marks for everything!!! This is an incredibly sweet, delightful, and charming game. The story warms my heart and has one of the best interpretations of old gold. The mechanics are so incredibly in-depth, especially the moment you start digging. The soundtrack used exudes the action and charm at the same time, it almost feels like it could be on-par with something you'd hear in a Kirby game. My notes on this one are incredibly minor:
- Platforms could use just a little bit of tweaking on collision handling. Platform mechanics are hard to get right, but these are some of the best feeling I've seen so far, but approaching from the sides has a hair of magnetism from above and a bit of restriction from below.
- I can't consistently reproduce it, but in some moments I find myself jumping from the ground with a lot of acceleration. It might be stacking with something, but I experimented with a few input combos and didn't come up with anything.
- After a restart when I first died, I didn't notice it right away but about when I started digging I noticed the music track is stacking.
Absolutely pat yourself on the back, because this is SUCH a marvelous and polished game.
