See thats what I thought, but I didnt see an increase after doing it.
My lifespan also did not budge. I was meaning to make a post about it but you beat me to it.

Edit: Hotfixed.
Lifespan. The first one when maxed gives permanent 6 years. Eventually you get small upgrades that affect decline too
