So fun seeing someone I already knew from other platform make games!
I've played AfterShift and explored probably most of available content. What is in the game is a very good introduction into direction the game is taking.
I think one heavy inspiration, or at least a game I could compare AfterShift to is Changed, the theme, the transformation mechanics are pretty similar. And I certainly don't say it in negative way.
What animations are there now are good. The mechanics with healing and weapon system feel like prototypes that will have to be improved. What I love is that game doesn't shy away from what are generally considered more obscure (messy-ish?) fetishes, but rather allows the player to indulge in many distinct themes that I see recurring in furry fandom (pool toy TF/skunk drones (stink/piss)/etc).
Game is rough around the edges, personally encountered player character getting stuck in between two states, flashing both of them constantly. Hitbox/movement could use small improvements as getting stuck in same place in game where restarting so often is a game loop can lead to a bit of frustration. Skipping some animations could have been a good QoL feature as well. Puzzle/progression is fine as well, perhaps could use some kind of checkpoint system later on when game content is expanded.
Perhaps I'm alone in that, but I'd love to explore more the lore and good, kinky writing in the game as well.
Overall, I think AfterShift is a good prologue to what can be a very fun TF game, and I'm looking forward to see more!
