You should put the license in the description then, so people can know what the license is BEFORE they download it.

Also why would it be marked CC0 if the license is different? That would cause confusion, and you should also be careful with the wording for custom clauses/licenses, as they could render your work legally unusable.

Hey guys, the license is a slightly modified Creative Commons Zero v1.0; and it's been like that since forever. If you got here through searching for cc0 licensed material, then it's itch.io's own search function that made a mistake.

Possible. You can set the licence on itch in edit -> metadata -> release info -> license for assets
