The stakes are high in Crown of the Beast Moon! The strongest element here is the prose itself and I would probably read a lot of it verbatim which makes this trifold very pick up and play.

Something I learned too late in my submission was that you can't count on random encounters to provide tension if they're never rolled and I see you made a good choice with the danger level here so that a check is made every round. My only worry would be how swingy it might turn out to be in terms of violent encounters but there's a fine line with RNG! Too much or too little?

I will call out that your random encounter table is great and all of the results err on the side of interactive and creepy so that combat isn't inevitable until the Reaction Roll dice fall.

The set up is what would sell me on this though. A yearly ritual means wherever this adventure is set has automatic history and its so so juicy.

Thank you for submitting this, it's a treat!

Thanks for the comment! I ABSOLUTELY agree, relying on RNG for tension can be tough, which is why I made the edits that I did in the v1.2 file. Hopefully it keeps the tension up without it being TOO much. In my original playtesting, I ran it as Unsafe instead of Deadly, and that felt too lenient, so I bumped it up after thinking about it for a while.

Thank you again for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
