Appreciate all the kind words and your time spent on playing my game, it means sooo much to me! Although, I think I've got some clarifications to do here:
1. This game was anything BUT well-scoped at the start, that's why I had to cut the overwhelming majority of it from the release in order to finish in time - i.e. the dialogue system, objectives (tutorial), underground/cave level*, many interactables (cannons, chests/vases with randomized loot that could either help you or harm, bombs, poisonous mushrooms, finite food source that'd heal better than the infinite one), animated liquids and sky, main menu, audio, etc. Basically, keeping just the barebone foundations of it.
2. This is not my first game ever, it's my first successful GameJam submission (and/or Godot project, if that's what you mean). You can check out my other projects on my page, if you're interested, I'd be very grateful))
3. Yeah, the UX and interactions are a bit clunky cuz I'm new to the engine, and couldn't find a way (nor had time) to make them any better. And that's totally on me, I don't blame anyone who found it hard to adopt to how the game functions.
After all that, I'm still so pleased that you think it's completely playable, glad to see people appreciate my work, and give such good critique!
