Nice good job. Very interesting mechanic have never see it before. What felt a little weird was that i jumped and then i jumped through my cursor and it changed direction. Having the camera follow the player would fix that because the orientation from the character to the cursor would never change so it would stay the same and you could jump faster without having to readjust the cursor position for every jump.

We also made a platformer but with fixed movements. So you have to beat a level for example with 2 Jumps and 1 Dash, feel free to check it out ;)

That is really funny! That we made a game with a similar energy management! Smart people think alike! Yeah, we used the movement system we have because originally, we were also doing fixed movement but then we decided that this game, that we hope in the future to add puzzles to each level and make energy a bigger part of the game, well fixed movement really didn't match with our vision, so we played around with different systems until we got the one, we have today!
