This is a really creative game, I think it has a lot of potential to be expanded upon too!

Thanks for playing. Yeah, I really like this idea. Definitely playing around with it in the future. Working on the patch to upload as soon as the jam judging period is over, and I already have a some ideas for additional units and puzzle mechanics. Sadly this very small prototype, already eats up all of pico8's cartridge space. So only way to expand is make a sequel or use a different engine. Maybe it's finally time to learn godot. . .

I used Godot for the first time this jam, its got a bit of a learning curve, but after using mostly Unity and some Unreal its imo easier than those. You got this!

Thanks :)

I've never learned either of those 2. Only ever used Pico,  hopefully my toaster of a laptop is at powerful enough to run it.

Godot is really lightweight compared to the others, I would recommend that if you are developing on a lower end system. I would say all my compile times and just time spent waiting for things was more than cut in half compared to even unity.

Did a quick "can you run it?" check and apparently I'm  above even the recommended specs. Must be suuuuuper light weight.
