Hi! The “button” referred here is the lever at the center of the control panel. Admittedly it’s not very visible.^^’ For the first round, you can just follow the instructions in the game: press the “Go” button, then hit the lever right when the counter on top reaches 0. There will then be more lever and other buttons added on the board. Hope this helps!
Yes, the global counter gives you the tempo (1s per tick) to count in your head. Then you have to count in your head as accurately as possible to guess when the count down reach 0. At that moment you press the button. When you have multiple buttons, each one displays a value which tells you when you are supposed to click on it.

Oh, that's insanely simple; I'm not sure why I was so confused! It ended up freezing and then crashing at level 5, unfortunately, but I thought the ambiance and graphics were excellent and unique, and I liked how the upgrades made a basic concept almost more roguelike-y in mechanics. Great work!
