Yes, the global counter gives you the tempo (1s per tick) to count in your head. Then you have to count in your head as accurately as possible to guess when the count down reach 0. At that moment you press the button. When you have multiple buttons, each one displays a value which tells you when you are supposed to click on it.

Oh, that's insanely simple; I'm not sure why I was so confused! It ended up freezing and then crashing at level 5, unfortunately, but I thought the ambiance and graphics were excellent and unique, and I liked how the upgrades made a basic concept almost more roguelike-y in mechanics. Great work!
