Fun! I found myself replaying to try and top my score. One suggestion would be to have a visual/audio cue a split second before the engine dies, so you can try to steer yourself into a safe arc while restarting it.

I like that idea a lot, like a few sputters before it dies. I think I'll add that in after judging is done thanks :)
