This game feels like "Memento (Christopher Nolan film) x Exit 8." I NEVER thought in my life I'd get to experience this combination, yet here we are!!

I loved the concept of going back a day (great interpretation of Countdown, btw) so you could finish your pending tasks! With each passing day (in reverse, like Memento), a new narrative beat is revealed. Kept me intrigued until the "Inevitable" ;p

Also, great use of minimal space. I STRONGLY urge you to keep developing further. Very unique, and intriguing gameplay.

(p.s.: Stay hydrated XD)

Exit 8 was definitely an influence. I love that game for what it achieved with so little. Plus, some of my favorite stories play with time, so this combination was inevitable ;)

I'm really glad you found it intriguing. I had plans to do more, but unfortunately, I couldn't fully utilize the 4 days.

I really wanted the world to feel lived-in and Deus Ex is a huge influence behind this. I love its philosophy of smaller but detailed worlds. GMTK has a video on that you should check out if you haven't already.

Ah, yes. That's understandable. But what you've achieved in 96 hours is still praise-worthy!

You must try Firewatch once, if you wanna experience a game with lived-in feel. The setting is of a forest, with 0 population (except you, ofc), yet the environmental storytelling suggest that this place used to have picnics and crowds once....before something happened.
