Nice short game! Still rough around the edges, but that's more than acceptable in a Jam game.

- The Restart button doesn't work. This was painful when I got stuck in the third Satyr room in the spot with a brown wall where a satyr is caged initially.

- Traversal is slow once you have cleared the enemies or when returning to a room you cleared. That one Satyr in the room where the Chimera is initially is slowing down the room which is empty otherwise.

- In a cleared room you can't hold a key to continue moving in that direction, it makes a lot of unnecessary keypresses when traversing already empty rooms like the Village.

- The Potions mechanic is barely used, I think you only need a single Snake Milk to get the Trap if you kill one Snake by taking a hit and making the traps kill the other?

- Dying feels bad. I felt trapped the first time I got to the Trap room, I had taken a hit from a Snake and was trapped between the Trap and 2-Snake rooms. I had to reset completely, the autosaves were overwritten by going back and forth between the rooms.

Suggestions:

- Fix the Restart button

- Add a Fast Travel option to return to the Tavern. This could load the Autosave first so that you lose collected items like the Trap.

- Add clickable prompts to travel between rooms quickly after some requirements are met, such as clearing the room of enemies, reaching an exit from your current entry point, or clearing the puzzle of the room.

How did you get past the room with the Satyr stuck behind the brown wall? I'm so confused there

Hello!

Are you talking about the room with a golden apple in it?

If yes, it is a puzzle to choose the right path for the satyr. There are three possible paths for him to take after you press the plate, and you have two boxes to block two of those paths. Satyr won't move on the path that is blocked. So you have to find which path would allow you to step on spikes exactly the moment satyr switches them so you don't get impaled. I hope this helps!

I was talking about the room before that, with 3 Satyrs, one of which is trapped.

The apple room is a bit unintuitive to solve since you have to realize you can safely run into spikes if they get disabled by the time your turn comes back.

I understand the confuson, that's the second iteration of the spike logic – before that it would be more intuitive when you stepped on them, but then you would stay on visually active spikes without being damaged which looked even worse

Hello, thank you for a huge review~

I totally will add a fast return to the tavern once you unlock it, this is a great idea that I just never though of, as well as allowing to hold the movement button.

Some sort of a fast travel system once you clear the rooms is obviously a good QoL thing to do, I just had no time to properly implement it since it would require a lot of thinking of where and when player want to get for the second time

With potions I also got into problem when deciding whether collecting ingredients them should be absolutely necessary before the very late game or not. My thought process was that getting potions helps you fight snakes instead of dodging them or getting damaged, one ingredient is required to defeat the Gorgon since you need to double move onto her, ether snake milk or all of other three ingredients are required to get the trap for nymph and obviously it is much easier to beat the Manticore with potions. In most of the situations though you are not forced to use them and are allowed to experiment and find other ways around (such as killing snakes with traps, didn't thought of it being a strat in the Trap room)

And guess I broke the restart button at some point and haven't noticed, thank you for reporting that!

You don't need a potion to claim (victory over) the gorgon. SPOILERS ON HOW I BEAT HER: you can hit her with a statue if you come from the top left. Boxes deal damage when you push them into an enemy! As far as I can tell this is only useful against her. The boxes maze and the Satyr card can be solved without using this.

Hahaha, I totally forgot that I coded pushable objects to damage enemies!
Will sadly have to remove this way of beating the gorgon since one point of damage you make is intended to be you stepping on her and capturing
