Hello future partner(s)!
I have an idea (that’s how it starts - no~?) for an IF (interactive fiction) I’d like to finally commit to. I’m a writer (+ occasional artist) who’s been at it since 15, (furiously)scribbling in yellow legal pads. I’ve written everything from fanfic to academic papers (that were published, if you prefer a flex ;)). Considered doing an IF, off and on, for a while, but always talked/thought myself out of it. Now - I finally wanna take that leap and dedicate the time as I think I have a story/vision worth not only completing — but putting out there.
It’s still in the beginning stages — which is exciting — because that means it’s open enough for ideas from anyone who might want to join in. You’ll be more than just a sounding board: (if willing!)You’d be actively sculpting this game alongside me. Currently have a working title, theme, general plot, and basic love interests deets down. Haven't settled on program platform yet (but looked at choice script), so any expertise there would be Much Appreciated!
What I'm About/Looking to Achieve: I want to *see* what I DON’T see often enough in what’s already out there. More PoC (specifically: Women of Color); trans, nonbinary, ace - etc. (here for it all); sensitively and accurately portrayed disabilities (mental or physical); more sapphic/WLW content. Period. Love humor, but I'm fearless weaving in hard-hitting/uncomfortable topics. I don’t want readers stat checking every 5 seconds to get a certain RO. I think approval-mance can be great — but rival-mance is RARE in games and I want to change that. You shouldn’t NOT be able to romance someone with low approval - it should just be More effort/Different.

Whether super experienced or dipping your toes for the first time — I don’t really care, so long as the result/dedication is there. This would be a passion project (unpaid); but if there’s revenue generated once out there: Absolutely - 100% - open to share.
I’m only fluent in English, but I don’t think language should be a barrier: If you’re willing to use translation tools, don’t hold back.
Mostly looking for people who genuinely enjoy code side of things (I know my lane, that ain't it lol) and/or find it fun to offer really engaging/unexpected branching.
