I like the way you explore the Slip Zone mechanic in Level 4. It's clever how the box can be used to block the exit.

I found a case when I enter the Slip Zone with low speed, I might get stuck for a really long time. So maybe the Slip Zone speed is better to be set constant.

Very solid start. Just add a context to the Slip Zone --like some kind of magic waterfall maybe because it can move vertically?-- and clever implementation like in Level 4,  and I think it will be a very fun game!

Developer

To be honest, level 4 was designed by accident

I added the restart option in case people get stuck in a zone. Not sure if I would set a constant speed, but maybe a minimum speed could work.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Short and sweet, very solid start.
i've seen the "zone where you no longer have control" pattern a few times now and it feels like a really solid bit of space to work in.  platformers often aren't my thing but this is pretty compelling for what IS here

Thank you for the kind feedback. I thought about making another kind of game for the jam, but i stuck with a simple platformer.

I find that these kind of zones, when used in platformers can have several purposes:

1. As a timing challenge

2. As an aiming challenge

3. As a "gate" for a puzzle-level (didn't have the time to implement this though, sadly)

Found a little bug. If you fail on the first level the game crashes. It would be great, if there were more levels. But overall, really great concept. This could turn into a really good game. All it needs is some game juice!

Developer

Yeah, several of my friends reported level-related bugs, but I haven't been able to reproduce them consistently. Probably has something to do with how i delete and load levels.

I'd love to expand this game one day, but currently I'm focusing on learning as much as possible, so I'll probably be working on other small projects.

Thank you for the kind feedback :)
