OK, I’ve found the issue - the game was expecting the robot to stop on the elevator door, not walk all the way across it. When this happened, the event that triggers the exit was not handled.

I’ve made a small change so the exit event is handled as expected. If you download the updated version you can copy the Ecliptic executable over the top of the old one so as not to lose your saved game.

Thanks for reporting this issue, I really appreciate that you’ve taken the time to play the game and let me know about the problem.

I replaced old executable file with the new one but it didn't solved the problem. One robot is inside elevator, door is closed, I press End Turn icon and nothing happens.

Was the executable file the only one that changed?

Yes, the only change is in the executable. Alternatively, you could copy the save files - save.list and S0, S1, etc - into the directory of the new version.

Open the elevator door and move the robots onto it. Just walking over the door should trigger the exit.

The bug still exists. Robot has to stop on the elevator door to activate exit. If the robot stops inside elevator nothing happens.

By the way: save files aren't stored in the game directory but in the main directory of boot partition.

That’s a bit embarrassing! I’ve realised that the bug will still show for you because the event handler registrations are stored as part of the save game file. You would have to start a new game to see the updated behaviour.

Thanks for pointing out the problem with the save files - shortly before release I changed the start up from a shell script to a proper Workbench program and didn’t spot that it changed the working directory. I’ve uploaded a new build, Ecliptic-20260708.lha, that fixes it - all file access is now in PROGDIR:. To keep your save game with this version you really will have to copy the save files into the game directory.

I'm on level 2. I've found a shotgun and access card. I've opened the locked room with card but inside there are only xenowasp soldiers - no useful items, no computer terminal. Should I kill all enemies in that room because one of them has something useful?

What you need to do is keep destroying eggs until you get a blue access card. That will get you into the room with the exit.

I destroyed every egg and the only access card that I found was the red one (in the room with shotgun).

That’s not cool. Once you’ve destroyed all 24 eggs a blue access card is supposed to appear. Any chance you can send the save game files to me at bwldrbst at gmail.com ? Or, log it as an issue at https://github.com/adkennan/Ecliptic_public.

Oh, you meant that ALL eggs must be destroyed. I was doing something else: I tried to destroy few eggs and checked if card is beneath any of them. Then I reloaded my saved game and tried to destroy few other eggs. I thought that blue card is hidden under one of the egg, like the shotgun and red card.

Destroying all eggs is quite hard task, especially when most of my attack are missed.
