Uh. I accidentally just straight up skipped the first encounter by opening my inventory to see how much gold I start with (which I'm certain many players will do, since the first encounter is asking you to pay 25 gold). There's no way to go back to it. It's just gone. That is a major oversight.

If you go back to the Havenport docks, there is an event you can click to go through the introduction if you opened another menu.

Why is there no ability to simply close the inventory and return to where you were? The functionality to close a menu you opened should exist in all games.

I’ll make it possible in the next version to open a menu while you’re in dialogue. When you close the menu, you’ll return to the same point in the dialogue without quitting it. I’ve also added a tooltip when you buy something, so you can see how much gold you have.

Er... you already can open it. That functionality is there. There is no functionality to close it.

I know you mentioned AI assisted code, but honestly, it sounds like you just shoved the problem at AI and went with whatever it spat out, without bothering to do the slightest bit of testing.

Yeah, you’re right. I worded that badly. The issue is that closing the menu should return you to the same dialogue state, not that the menu can’t be opened. That’s what I’ve fixed for the next version.

For clarity, I don’t personally write all of the code, but I do test the game and write the dialogue/content myself.

Again, wrong. The issue is that you cannot close the menu.

This is pointless; I'm just blocking you.
