Thoughts:
- The cover art makes me think of a chocolate cookie.
- I don’t yet realize how much spinning will help me. Or I didn’t at first. Then I thought it might help me grab more more meteor stuff quickly as I’m being attacked by the paperplane birds.
- What is this arrow?
Audio:
- The game has no audio. It looks like this might be your first game. I want to tell you how much of a difference audio actually makes. It brings things to life, make it more immersive and satisfying. You can use sound libraries like Freesound.org and Soundly to gather sounds. Generally, everything that moves should make a sound. So you’ll need ambient background sound, and also sound to give feedback to our actions and things that happen, like being attacked, grabbing more meteor stuff for our big meteor, winning and losing.
Visuals: They are nice. The only thing I don’t understand is this arrow. I also don’t yet understand intuitively how many “lives” I have exactly at any moment in time, though I think with practice I would figure it out. Ok, actually I’ve played 3 times or 4 and haven’t yet figured it out, but I may just be slow.
Gameplay:
- Harder than I initially expected, which is good because it felt too easy as I started and figured out my controls.
UI: Needing to refresh the page to play again makes it take more effort and is a bit frustrating, though I get that you probably didn’t have time to set a replay button.
