Oh, thank you so much for playing and for such beautiful, honest, and detailed feedback! Reading about your reaction was truly precious.

I have mixed feelings about my game making you feel ill. On the one hand, it's the reaction I expected and, in some way, was aiming for. I wanted the game to leave a strong impression, even if not a pleasant one. At the same time, I'm genuinely sorry that it made you feel unwell. I hope that, despite being somewhat unpleasant in the moment, the experience was still meaningful in the bigger picture.

I don't know if I succeeded, but my intention was never to make the game shocking or disturbing just for the sake of it. "Unfriendly" is probably the word I'd use to describe it instead.

Thanks again, and congratulations on the jam! Making my game was an absolute blast, and now I'm really excited to play the games made by the other participants.

Please don't be sorry! I don't take any issue with a game making me feel ill, the same can be said for An Outcry (by Quinn K) - I mean, I uninstalled it and never played it again - but it did make me feel something. It did also feel like it was trying to say something, not just shock for the sake of things. Unfriendly is definitely an apt word.

Or, at least, "friendly but also actually really unfriendly" - which is how I'd describe a lot of the doublespeak in the game. The way that the words written to Solomon are often in harsh juxtaposition with the actions. "Don't worry! It's okay, you can try again tomorrow! Your fine today will $200.00." Fucking beautiful, and very... on point. Relatable, even.

When I next get onto BSky, I'll be giving you a follow for sure :) In the meantime, please give our game a try and let us know what you think? We'd all really appreciate it.

All of it resonates with me a lot! I will surely play your game and would be happy to leave my feedback. Playing each other's games is a part of any jam that I love a lot actually. It would also be fantastic if somebody made a stream playing jam games or something.
